Check out my new guest blog over at the Pioneer Theatre Company’s website. Hilarious play from artistic director, Charles Morey.
A few weeks ago, Chi took me out for a birthday lunch at Sea Salt. Here’s a little taste of the place to wet the taste buds…

We had the Fiorentina pizza: Clifford Farms Eggs, Black Truffle, Arugula, Prosciutto di Parma.

The gooey eggs are yum yum with the freshly carved prosciutto.

And we also had the Gnocchi alla Norma - Eggplant Fritti, Fresh Mozzarella, Campari Tomato, Garlic, Basil.

Pillowy goodness. MMM.

Another Sundance Film Festival down - always a busy but enjoyable time. It’s always hard to find really great food during the fest… especially when you are working and partying simultaneously for hours on end with no sleep.
Well, I think Forage is always impressive to the likes of big city out-of-towners. So after hyping up Forage to my new foodie friend, she booked reservations and sent me this note:
Ok - so I booked a table at Forage for Thursday night at 8.15pm. After you talked me into it - you better make time to eat with us that night!
We ended up getting earlier reservations, but anyhoo - here’s the rundown of our meal that night. A Sundance escape… as my co-diners mentioned in the restaurant, “I don’t even feel like I’m in Utah right now.”
Check out my latest guest blog over at Pioneer Theatre’s blog. It’s for the world premiere of FIND AND SIGN!
What better way than to celebrate a giant Thanksgiving meal than another incredibly delicious meal at Forage? Our menu for the night…

This is probably one of my favorite hikes so far - Angel Slot Canyon near the Dirty Devil area. Fairly easy (but may first be intimidating) rappels that are juicy beefy! True slot canyon squeezes that require some technical maneuvering… Oh and hey, it’s not too long! It’s another 3-4 hour, or in our case… 5-6 hour hike that’s less than 3-4 miles round trip.

Fall approaches with rain and cool weather. We found one last hurrah at Dirty Devil - near Hanksville, Utah (and the Robber’s Roost and North Wash canyoneering area).
Our first canyon - Angel Cove! The site is south of Hanksville, off some dirt paths. GPS is greatly helpful out here where dirt roads are king. There are only a few signs and people are fairly scarce in these neck of the… dessert. Here’s a handy route for reference: trimbleoutdoors.com.

The Lake Mary - Grizzly Gulch hike is beautifully scenic hike that will take you through three to four ski resorts. It passes through several lakes, Mary included, and takes you through the old abandoned mines of the Grizzly Gulch trail.
What better way to end a trip then a relaxing day down the river?

Labor Day Monday, we rented a couple of duckies, inflatable kayaks, and went with Red River Adventures down the Moab Daily.
